Located in the southern metropolitan suburb of Dingley, the design for a new administration and flexible learning community at Dingley Primary School was the final stage in the rebuild of the entire precinct for the school.

With a focus on wellness and flexible learning, the campus of Dingley Primary School is conceptualised as a fluid indoor-outdoor landscape that encourages open-air activities.

At the heart of the school is the green oval, a lawned courtyard that lends itself, whether in the form of ballpark or outdoor classroom, as fertile ground for learning.
Surrounding this is the new administration center and learning blocks all oriented to look out into this space;thoughtfully low-set windows encourage even the youngest children to visually explore the encompassing green space.

A variety of learning settings ensure students are never desk-bound. Work and play spaces flow into one another, interspersed with cosy niches and pods that facilitate small group gatherings-you may even find study groups forming under the cover of verandahs facing the oval.
