A bespoke Post Natal and Pre Natal Abode in Singapore
A humble, homely abode in a leafy green setting, the Maternal & Child Health Centre is shaped by its quiet and quaint surroundings. Blending into the background, whilst remaining central to the parklands.
A mother’s initial relationship with her child manifests through touch and tactility – the first kick, a comforting hug, a helping hand, a leading influence. We hope to realise these notions within the context of the Health Centre.
How might we create a natural, warm and soothing environment in the same way a mother does for her child? The Zen-inspired design is seamless and flowing, encouraging a worry-free mentality in a space that sometimes plays host to challenging times ahead. . Rather, finding peace and drawing inspiration from things that are not yet fixed. Ephemeral, tranquil moments of reassurance. The materiality is delicate and simple, an honesty that captures the relationships nurtured within this centre.
