Hillcrest Park Residence

2014 | Singapore | Residential

Nestled opposite a densely vegetated sloping landscape, Hillcrest Park Residence rises dramatically in its environment with its floating timber roof and stoic stone walls. There is almost no structural presence to the building except for the stone walls and glass facade.

Stone cladded planes are positioned strategically to frame and articulate the internal spaces, thereby allowing them to be perceived as part of the landscape environment.

The second volume houses the private bedrooms which are lightly cladded by various intensity of timber screens to give a degree of privacy. The L shape plan allows all bedrooms to maximize views to the lush vegetation across the road.
