One Tree Hill’s beginnings were already intertwined with success. Owned by British trading house Guthrie & Company in the 19th century, the area was named after one outstanding rubber tree that grew head and shoulders above the rest – as if to herald its reputation as the neighbourhood for exceptional individuals, families and homes.
